Living Room Concert, Copenhagen

Claire Cross + Lena Douglas at Donau115, Berlin
On Wednesday 9th October, I’m really excited to be going to Berlin to play a double bill show alongside one of my besties Claire Cross. Claire has been working on a solo bass set, and I am going to perform in duo form (for the first time) with Nick Roder. We’ve been pulling some old tunes out of the vault in preparation (practising a folky Maro meets Adrianne Lenker version of Esb with Stikki’s acoustic guitar today…)

Stockerz EP Launch at Northcote Social Club, Melbourne
This show I’m SUPER excited for. Writing the Stockerz EP has been a pretty solitary process (lots of computer and headphones) so I’m pumped to be bringing this music to a big band for a celebratory EP Launch at Northcote Social Club on 15th December.

This special show will feature Merinda Dias-Jayasinha (vocals), Nick Roder (guitar), Claire Cross (bass), Josh Barber (drum kit), Flora Carbo (saxophone) and Max Dowling (saxophone). I’ve been starting to write arrangements for this show thinking about how excellent all these musicians are and getting v pumped!
It’s on Sunday 15th December, so I’m hoping this gig has that divine summery pre-xmas sweaty celebratory vibe that you try to explain to Europeans but they just never quite understand…
